The Challenge

OneMain Financial (OMF) was experiencing some issues with
migration of their on-premise firewalls to Azure Cloud. They had
insufficient knowledge to support the Palo Alto Networks Firewall,
BGP, and Azure virtual networks.

  • Accend provided a CCIE Senior Network Engineer and Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer and to assist OMF with migrating their on-premise WAN gateways to Azure virtual gateways
  • Assessed OMF their virtual Palo Alto Networks firewalls for proper configuration and according best practices prior to cutovers
  • Assisted with reviewing the routing and BGP design to avoid any issues during the cutover
  • Assisted with being available during and post-implementation phases

The Results

  • OMF was able to migrate their on-premise WAN gateways to Azure Virtual Gateways successfully
