The Director of Maintenance at Jet Aviation approached us because he needed some assistance with installing 10 Aruba Networks Wireless Access Points 315 at their Hangar facility in Oakland, California. He had heard of us through their existing vendor partner

Our Solution

Jet Aviation’s 10 Aruba Access Points 315 were still in their original boxes. Accend assisted with installing the 10 Aruba Access Points, tasks included mounting the access points and connecting ethernet cables to the PoE switches. We also assisted with upgrading the Access Points to the latest version of code, migrated their configuration over from the previous Acess Points, provided documentation and knowledge transfer.

Because the Access Points were located in a large maintenance facility, we wanted to make sure that they had good coverage. Accend offered to conduct predictive wireless coverage for Jet Aviation.

The Results

Accend worked with the Director of Maintenance to mount and connect all Aruba Access Points at their assigned location.We also labeled and configured hostnames,Corporate,and Guest SSIDs,along with any firewall filtering for the Guest SSID to just allow printing and interent access.They were using the Sonicwall NSA 4600 firewall.We also document and provided knowledge transfer on how to administer the Aruba instant Access Points portal

Accend also provided a heat map and made sure Jet Aviation had good wireless coverage at their Hangar and Maintenance facilities, including their repair shop and administrative buildings.

Jet Aviation was able to complete their long overdue upgrade of the ten (10) Aruba Access Points 315 with our assistance.

The Challenge

Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District (MVLA) required some Cisco training classes that could be offered to their students to train them to better equip themselves with the latest trends and technologies and to be able to obtain entry level positions such as Network Technician, Network Engineer, and other technical positions.

Our Solution

Accend provided a CCIE to teach the Cisco Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 and Part 2 according to the Cisco course syllabus. These courses helped to prepare them for the Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching.

The Results

Accend was able to teach and train a classroom of up to 10-12 students per class and provided training according to the Cisco ICND1 and ICND2 course curriculum, and also industry best practices training and use cases so students could apply them to the real world.

Live labs were also conducts and provided to the students.

The Challenge

PARC, a Xerox subsidiary, required a multi-factor authentication and single sign-on solution that was simple and easy to use to replace their current certificate based solution.

Our Solution

PARC was already using Cisco Anyconnect and Microsoft Office 365 for their environment. Cisco Anyconnect was using an on-premise kerberos authentication with certification and also Azure multi-factor authentication for their Office 365 using Microsoft authenticator app.

Accend provided a solution to deploy on their Cisco ASA\Firepower to authenticate against their existing Azure environment using SAML authentication with single sign-on. We helped configure their Cisco ASA with an Anyconnect tunnel and group profile to use the Azure Active Directory as an identity provider for Single Sign-On. This was quickly deployed in a week or two.

The Results

PARC has a new Cisco Anyconnect profile setup with Single Sign-On authentication against Azure Active Directory with Multi-Factor Authentication. The process is easy for end users with having to accept certificates, which was difficult to manage for PARC.

The Challenge

ASSIA-INC, a Bay Area innovative technologies for service providers, needed a quick and easy solution for office move and at the same time, upgraded their current Cisco legacy equipment.

Our Solution

Accend was engaged to be part of their pre-planning stage for their upcoming office move. Accend assessed their current environment, including number of users, devices, new move location, and number of headcounts.

Accend came back with a proposed network architecture which included the Cisco Meraki MX84 firewalls, several MS-225 cloud switches, and half a dozen MR52 Access Points. Accend also created a heat map for the new wireless networks, assisted with the office move, and configured their new Headquarter network core switches, and integrated some of their existing network infrastructure switches in one weekend.
